Managing Your Day

This Workshop is one day in duration and focuses on how we manage our time from day to day, how others manage their time and how managers and leaders can help their people manage their days.

Our Workshop Description

Where has the day gone? Can you believe what time it is already? I’ve hardly done anything on my list today

Do these sound familiar? First and foremost, please think “Mental Health”. Stress is the biggest enemy our people face, and it is often cited as the highest reason for people being off work.

Our workshop looks at why we seem to lose time in our day. It looks at why we don’t manage to get what we planned done and, on occasion, seem to have done everything else instead!

This workshop can not work magic. To see changes, you must adapt how you plan your time, how you work, how you delegate and how you say no so that you can hand over responsibility for prioritisation to those who delegate to you.

This workshop weaves some thinking from our Emotional Intelligence and Me and Communicating Effectively workshops. It helps us understand that managing our day and the time we have to get things done also rely heavily on how we communicate with others and how free those people are to work. It explains how to connect all your jigsaw pieces (and your teams).

We look closely at prioritisation and why our delegation matrix can be a serious game changer when designed and put to work correctly.

We end with our challenging “Better and Better” activity. You work individually and collectively to identify aspects of your working day/week/month and how we can make big differences to how we plan and use our time by working proactively and collaboratively.

Who Should Attend and Why?

Who? - Anyone who wants to work smarter instead of longer. People who manage others and care for their welfare, and want to help their people gain a real work-life balance.

Why? - Organisations shout how they want everything done asap or even yesterday. Sadly, it can’t always be that way, and if that is the case where you work, then someone or some people need to change how they work and stop putting that stress on their people.

Ask yourself that question… Why is there so much stress at work? How do some people/teams seem just to cope? We have many answers from many years of discussing this, including the new working-from-home issues that occasionally occur.

So come along and join in our discussions about how we work, think we have to work, want to work, and want others to help us work by managing our day.

Our Delivery Options

When you consider the content we deliver, we are sure you will understand why we always prefer to deliver our workshops, courses and programmes face-to-face.
