High Performing Teams (HPTs)
This Workshop is usually one day in duration, focussing solely on how we build and maintain HPTs.
However, it can be a two-day event incorporating aspects of Emotional Intelligence (EI), Communicating Effectively, and Managing My Day with group and individual activities to allow discussions on the topics.
Our Workshop Description
You may have heard the saying that “there is no I in team”. Well, we beg to differ, as we ask Leaders and Managers to focus very much on the individuals in the team so that they get the best from the whole team.
This thinking comes from our belief in Emotional Intelligence (EI). In EI, we say, "No self-awareness = A team that doesn’t care less”. We don’t mean this critically; it’s just that if team members are unaware (or don’t care) that their behaviour is impacting others in the Team negatively, then they will continue to behave in that manner. When we become self-aware, we have the opportunity to behave differently, which is a critical moment, as the team needs to know how to handle this.
High-Performing Teams (HPTs) are cohesive in their approach to the Team. No one gets left alone; everyone is on each other's radar, and mental health check-ins are a daily habit rather than a should-do task.
HPTs hardly need a Team Manager or Team Leader, as they operate collectively, care about one another, and are driven to attain Team-based objectives, goals, and outputs.
There may well be individual tasks or even KPIs. Still, they will work collectively to ensure that everyone works well together, that no one slacks, and that they continuously make improvements. They will also step in to help with workloads when needed, without being asked.
Leaders and Managers of HPTs will know they can get on with their work as they are confident their Team is getting on with theirs.
“Some” of our Typical Content
(All our workshops can be adapted to meet your organisational requirements)
Who Should Attend and Why?
Who? - It may seem that the only people who need to attend this type of workshop are Team Leaders or Managers, but we strongly recommend that whole Teams attend this workshop so they can work on the outcomes collaboratively back at work.
Why? - Organisations often demand that everything be done as soon as possible or even yesterday. Sadly, it can’t always be that way, and if that is the case where you work, then someone or some people need to change their approach and stop putting that stress on their people who may well be passing that stress on to others.
Ask yourself that question… Why is there so much stress at work? How do some people/teams seem just to cope? We have at least some of the answers from many years of discussing this, including the new working-from-home issues that bubble up from time to time.
So come along and join in our discussions about how we work, how we think we have to work, how we want to work, and how we want others to help us manage our time.
Our Delivery Options
When you consider the content we deliver, we are confident that you will understand why we always prefer to deliver our workshops, courses, and programmes face-to-face.
Face-to-face workshops and courses can be held at a location of your choice or, if you prefer, at a central UK location, such as the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, situated directly across from Birmingham New Street train station.
We can deliver our workshops, courses and programmes online, although this will mean splitting elements into manageable learning events to suit the online environment.
All Expenses
ALL our expenses are included in our daily rate, so there will be no other charges applied (unless additional add-ons are required, such as catch-up sessions when someone misses a workshop).
